HASU - PTA
for parents & carers of every student attending Harris Academy Sutton.
Our mission is to provide closer links between home & school through events & fund raisers bringing teachers & parents together in support of all.
In its first year the PTA raised over £3,000 (£4,000+ less costs) and we would like to thank all those who have supported us by supplying or purchasing cakes & refreshments and the students that attended the Disco. In our 2nd year (2020) we raised £715.66 not least because we have been unable to hold any typical PTA events due to the virus.
Since Covid-19 restrictions were relaxed we have been able to hald some small events include refreshments for students at Sports day, Summer camp (limited Y7 intake), recent Y7 & Y10 parent evenings & the Oct 2nd School Intro day, combined these events have raised almost £730 which will go towards the Performing Arts funding project.
In Our 3rd year we have raised nearly £2,000 which has come from a virtual 50/50 split of Donations & Sales of refreshments.
We have setup fundraising opportunities with Amazon & Easyfundraising where you can support the PTA at NO COST to yourselves when shopping online. If you are switching energy provider, arranging insurance, buying from big name stores most have links with Easyfundraising & at Amazon the HASU-PTA gets 0.5% of whatever you purchase just as long as you use the link or set your app to the smile.amazon website & nominate us as your chosen cause.

The school asked the PTA to fund a Trampoline (GM13L School & Club Trampoline) as well as a pair of Spotting decks (SPT/DC/STD).
We are delighted to confirm that thanks to the generosity of parents, Carers & family members so have been able to hand over the money & the trampolines have been ordered.
Our next target is to fund some equipment for the Drama Department, they are looking for Lighting, Drapes & Staging. Our target is £4,000.
